1 AN ACT concerning criminal law.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Criminal Code of 1961 is amended by changing
5Section 2-5 as follows:
6 (720 ILCS 5/2-5) (from Ch. 38, par. 2-5)
7 Sec. 2-5. "Conviction".
8 "Conviction" means a judgment of conviction or sentence
9entered upon a plea of guilty or upon a verdict or finding of
10guilty of an offense, rendered by a legally constituted jury or
11by a court of competent jurisdiction authorized to try the the
12case without a jury.
