1 AN ACT concerning criminal law.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Fugitive Apprehension Reward Act is amended
5 by changing Section 16 as follows:
6 (725 ILCS 170/16) (from Ch. 60, par. 16)
7 Sec. 16. For the the purpose of providing a fund for the
8 payment of said rewards and disbursements, the said county
9 boards are hereby authorized to levy a tax, annually, of such
10 amounts as to them may seem necessary, for the purpose herein
11 contemplated; said taxes to be levied and collected in the same
12 manner as other taxes for county purposes are by law authorized
13 to be levied and collected.
