| 1 | AN ACT concerning aging.

| 2 | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, | |||||||||||||||||||
| 3 | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | Section 5. The Respite Program Act is amended by changing | |||||||||||||||||||
| 5 | Section 5 as follows:

| 7 | Sec. 5. Eligibility.

| 8 | eligibility standards for
respite services taking into | |||||||||||||||||||
| 9 | consideration the unique economic and social needs
of the | |||||||||||||||||||
| 10 | population for whom they are to be provided. The population | |||||||||||||||||||
| 11 | identified
for the purposes of this Act includes persons | |||||||||||||||||||
| 12 | suffering from Alzheimer's
disease or a related disorder and | |||||||||||||||||||
| 13 | persons who are 60 years
of age or older with
an identified | |||||||||||||||||||
| 14 | service need. Priority shall be given in all cases to frail or | |||||||||||||||||||
| 15 | disabled adults.
