1 AN ACT concerning aging.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Respite Program Act is amended by changing
5 Section 5 as follows:
6 (320 ILCS 10/5) (from Ch. 23, par. 6205)
7 Sec. 5. Eligibility. The The Department may establish
8 eligibility standards for respite services taking into
9 consideration the unique economic and social needs of the
10 population for whom they are to be provided. The population
11 identified for the purposes of this Act includes persons
12 suffering from Alzheimer's disease or a related disorder and
13 persons who are 60 years of age or older with an identified
14 service need. Priority shall be given in all cases to frail or
15 disabled adults.
