AN ACT concerning children.
| ||||
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, | ||||
represented in the General Assembly:
| ||||
Section 5. The Children and Family Services Act is amended | ||||
by changing Section 39.2 as follows:

Sec. 39.2. Illinois Children's Justice Task Force. The | ||||
Illinois Children's Justice Task Force, in compliance with (i) | ||||
the Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act (CAPTA) (42 U.S.C. | ||||
5106c), as amended by Public Law 111-320; (ii) the Victims of | ||||
Crime Act of 1984 (42 U.S.C. 10603), as amended; and (iii) | ||||
Section 116 of the CAPTA Reauthorization Act of 2010, shall be | ||||
charged with the exploration, research, and development of | ||||
recommendations on a multidisciplinary team approach for the | ||||
investigation of reports of abuse or neglect of children under | ||||
the age of 18. | ||||
The Illinois Children's Justice Task Force shall submit a | ||||
report to the General Assembly by January 31, 2016 March 1, | ||||
2015 regarding, but not limited to, its recommendations for a | ||||
statewide multidisciplinary approach to child abuse or neglect | ||||
investigations. The Department of Children and Family Services | ||||
shall continue to provide administrative support to the Task | ||||
Force through the Department's Children's Justice Grant | ||||
Manager.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon | ||
becoming law.
