| 1 | AN ACT concerning regulation.
| |||||||||||||||||||
| 2 | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, | |||||||||||||||||||
| 3 | represented in the General Assembly:
| |||||||||||||||||||
| 4 | Section 5. The Public Utilities Act is amended by changing | |||||||||||||||||||
| 5 | Section 15-301 as follows:
| |||||||||||||||||||
| 6 | (220 ILCS 5/15-301)
| |||||||||||||||||||
| 7 | Sec. 15-301. Records and accounts.
| |||||||||||||||||||
| 8 | (a) Each common carrier
by pipeline shall:
| |||||||||||||||||||
| 9 | (1) Keep written accounts and
and records of its
| |||||||||||||||||||
| 10 | revenues, expenses, contracts, and other activities
| |||||||||||||||||||
| 11 | subject to regulation under this Act in accordance with
| |||||||||||||||||||
| 12 | regulations prescribed by the Commission;
| |||||||||||||||||||
| 13 | (2) Maintain, for a period of 3 years, copies of
all | |||||||||||||||||||
| 14 | accounts and records required by Commission
regulations; | |||||||||||||||||||
| 15 | and
| |||||||||||||||||||
| 16 | (3) Make the accounts and records available for
| |||||||||||||||||||
| 17 | inspection, on request, by an authorized employee of the
| |||||||||||||||||||
| 18 | Commission.

| 19 | (b) Accounts and records kept under this
Section shall be | |||||||||||||||||||
| 20 | kept at an office in the State of
Illinois unless the | |||||||||||||||||||
| 21 | Commission shall have authorized
maintenance at a location | |||||||||||||||||||
| 22 | outside of the State.
