| 1 | AN ACT concerning criminal law.
| ||||||
| 2 | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
| ||||||
| 3 | represented in the General Assembly:
| ||||||
| 4 | Section 5. The Criminal Code of 2012 is amended by changing | ||||||
| 5 | Section 17-11.2 as follows:
| ||||||
| 6 | (720 ILCS 5/17-11.2)
| ||||||
| 7 | Sec. 17-11.2. Installation of object in lieu of air bag. A | ||||||
| 8 | person commits installation of object in lieu of airbag when he | ||||||
| 9 | or she,
for consideration, knowingly
installs or reinstalls in | ||||||
| 10 | a vehicle any object in lieu of an air bag that was
designed in
| ||||||
| 11 | accordance with federal safety regulations for the make, model, | ||||||
| 12 | and year of the
vehicle as
part of a vehicle inflatable | ||||||
| 13 | restraint system. A violation of this Section is a Class 4 | ||||||
| 14 | felony A
misdemeanor.
