AN ACT concerning local government.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The Counties Code is amended by adding Section
5-12025 as follows:
(55 ILCS 5/5-12025 new)
Sec. 5-12025. Nuisances. The county board of any county
having a population of more than 250,000 may define, prevent,
and abate nuisances outside the corporate limits of all cities,
villages, and incorporated towns.
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
becoming law.
