| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives wish to congratulate Illinois State Trooper | ||||||
| 4 | Cynthia Pfau on the occasion of her performance in the Texas | ||||||
| 5 | Police Games and winning five gold medals during her | ||||||
| 6 | participation; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, Cynthia Pfau graduated from Hardin Simmons
| ||||||
| 8 | University in Abilene, Texas with a bachelor's degree in | ||||||
| 9 | computer science as well as a Bachelor of Science in biology; | ||||||
| 10 | and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, Trooper Cynthia Pfau was hired on June 29, 2008 | ||||||
| 12 | with the Illinois State Police; Cynthia is a member of the | ||||||
| 13 | Region III Crowd Control Team, a certified Motorcycle Officer, | ||||||
| 14 | and a Field Training Officer; and
| ||||||
| 15 | WHEREAS, Cynthia Pfau is an active supporter of various | ||||||
| 16 | fundraisers such as Cop on a Rooftop, which raises money for | ||||||
| 17 | the Special Olympics; and
| ||||||
| 18 | WHEREAS, Trooper Cynthia Pfau won five gold medals during | ||||||
| 19 | her participation in the 39th annual Texas Police Games, hosted | ||||||
| 20 | by the Texas Police Athletic Federation; and
| ||||||

| 1 | WHEREAS, Cynthia Pfau competed and won gold medals in the | ||||||
| 2 | triathlon, 5k run, 10k run, mountain bike race, and | ||||||
| 3 | sniper/precision rifle competition; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 4 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
| 5 | NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | ||||||
| 6 | thank Illinois State Trooper Cynthia Pfau for her | ||||||
| 7 | accomplishments in the Texas Police Games, congratulate her on | ||||||
| 8 | receiving five gold medals, and wish her all the best in her | ||||||
| 9 | future endeavors; and be it further
| ||||||
| 10 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 11 | presented to Cynthia Pfau as an expression of our | ||||||
| 12 | congratulations and appreciation for a job well done.
