2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
3 | Representatives are pleased to congratulate Reverend Jesse | ||||||
4 | Dillard on his 15th anniversary in the ministry; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Reverend Dillard will be celebrating his 15th year | ||||||
6 | in the ministry on Friday, November 19, 2010; the celebration | ||||||
7 | will be held at Logos Baptist Assembly in Chicago; and
| ||||||
8 | WHEREAS, Reverend Dillard started preaching under the | ||||||
9 | ministry of Reverend Dr. James R. Flint, Sr., at Union | ||||||
10 | Evangelistic Baptist Church, and now is serving at Logos | ||||||
11 | Baptist Assembly under the leadership of Reverend Dr. Donald L. | ||||||
12 | Parson in Chicago; and

13 | WHEREAS, Jesse Dillard was born December 5, 1972 to the | ||||||
14 | late Lenora Mae Dillard at St. James Hospital in Chicago | ||||||
15 | Heights; he was the last of 14 children; he attended Rich | ||||||
16 | Central High School in Olympia Fields and Job Corps in Dayton, | ||||||
17 | Ohio, where he earned a certificate in clerical skills; and
| ||||||
18 | WHEREAS, He was called to preach in 1990 and preached his | ||||||
19 | first sermon under the leadership of Reverend Dr. James R. | ||||||
20 | Flint, Sr., at Union Evangelistic Baptist Church; and

1 | WHEREAS, He earned a certificate in Christian Ministries at | ||||||
2 | Lincoln Christian College in Lincoln; he later earned an | ||||||
3 | Associate Degree in Theology at Baptist Bible College in | ||||||
4 | Springfield, Missouri and a B.A. degree from St. Louis | ||||||
5 | Christian College in Florissant, Missouri; Reverend Dillard is | ||||||
6 | pursuing a degree in business, hoping to one day own his own | ||||||
7 | funeral home; therefore, be it

8 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
9 | NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | ||||||
10 | congratulate Reverend Jesse Dillard on his years of service and | ||||||
11 | wish him continued success in his future endeavors; and be it | ||||||
12 | further

13 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
14 | presented to Reverend Jesse Dillard as a symbol of our respect | ||||||
15 | and esteem.
