2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
3 | Representatives wish to congratulate Jim Ingram on the occasion | ||||||
4 | of his retirement as Douglas County Clerk and Recorder; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Jim Ingram was raised in rural Charleston; he | ||||||
6 | attended Eastern Illinois University, where he earned his | ||||||
7 | bachelor's degree in education; and
| ||||||
8 | WHEREAS, Jim Ingram served as Art Director of Shiloh School | ||||||
9 | in Hume for 19 1/2 years; he also worked in real estate for 32 | ||||||
10 | years until his retirement in 2010 and was the owner of a real | ||||||
11 | estate agency for 15 years; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Jim Ingram has had a long and distinguished career | ||||||
13 | in local government; he was appointed and elected to serve as | ||||||
14 | the City Treasurer of Newman; in 1990, he was elected to serve | ||||||
15 | as the Clerk and Recorder of Douglas County, a position he | ||||||
16 | faithfully executed until his retirement on December 1, 2012; | ||||||
17 | and

18 | WHEREAS, Jim Ingram is a past president of the Newman Lions | ||||||
19 | Club and a member of the First Neighbor Bank Advisory Board, | ||||||
20 | the Lions Club, the American Heart Association, and the | ||||||
21 | American Cancer Society; he also served as president of the |

1 | Illinois Association of County Clerks and Recorders in 2000; | ||||||

| ||||||
3 | WHEREAS, Jim Ingram and his wife, Margie, have 2 daughters, | ||||||
4 | Jennifer and Kate, and 6 grandchildren; therefore, be it

5 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
6 | NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
7 | we congratulate Jim Ingram on the occasion of his retirement | ||||||
8 | and wish him continued success and happiness in the future; and | ||||||
9 | be it further

10 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
