| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives are pleased to congratulate Ian Seivwright on | ||||||
| 4 | the occasion of his retirement as Deputy Chief of the Western | ||||||
| 5 | Springs Fire Department after 50 years of dedicated service; | ||||||
| 6 | and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, Ian Seivwright has been a life-long resident of | ||||||
| 8 | Western Springs; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, Ian Seivwright's service to the Western Springs | ||||||
| 10 | Fire Department began as a student at McClure Junior High | ||||||
| 11 | School; after hearing the alarm bells go off at the firehouse, | ||||||
| 12 | he would often jump out the window of the school and scurry to | ||||||
| 13 | the firehouse to either watch or tag along; he later joined the | ||||||
| 14 | department as a full-time member and ascended the ranks to | ||||||
| 15 | become Deputy Chief, where he served until his retirement; and
| ||||||
| 16 | WHEREAS, Ian Seivwright has served his country as an | ||||||
| 17 | officer in the United States Navy in the late 1960s and early | ||||||
| 18 | 1970s, where he distinguished himself in his service with the | ||||||
| 19 | Pacific fleet; he subsequently began and completed a long and | ||||||
| 20 | successful career with the People's Gas Company, retiring as | ||||||
| 21 | the director of the company's security operations; and

| 1 | WHEREAS, Following his retirement, Ian Seivwright plans to | ||||||
| 2 | move to Phoenix, Arizona, where he can bask in the sun and | ||||||
| 3 | reflect upon the many accomplishments in his life; therefore, | ||||||
| 4 | be it

| 5 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
| 6 | NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | ||||||
| 7 | congratulate Ian Seivwright on the occasion of his retirement | ||||||
| 8 | and wish him many happy and healthy retirement years; and be it | ||||||
| 9 | further

| 10 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 11 | presented to Ian Seivwright as a symbol of our esteem and | ||||||
