| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives are pleased to congratulate Ressie Nelson | ||||||
| 4 | Richardson on the occasion of her 100th birthday on August 10, | ||||||
| 5 | 2010; and
| ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, Ressie Nelson Richardson was born on August 10, | ||||||
| 7 | 1910, in Ponola, Mississippi; at the age of 18, she moved to | ||||||
| 8 | Colp to live with her brother, James Nelson, to help him with | ||||||
| 9 | his children; shortly after coming to Colp, she met her future | ||||||
| 10 | husband, Emanual Richardson; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, Ressie Nelson Richardson earned her degree in | ||||||
| 12 | cooking from Southern Illinois University; and
| ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, Ressie Nelson Richardson was employed with the | ||||||
| 14 | late Dr. Delyte Morris and his wife, Dorothy, for 27 years; she | ||||||
| 15 | also worked with Dr. Wendell Kane in Herrin; and
| ||||||
| 16 | WHEREAS, Ressie Nelson Richardson enjoys cooking, | ||||||
| 17 | traveling, doing housework, children, and attending the Church | ||||||
| 18 | of God in Christ; therefore, be it

| 19 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
| 20 | NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | ||||||
