| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Rhoda | ||||||
| 4 | Blanchard, who passed away on December 2, 2012; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Rhoda Blanchard was born on January 7, 1947; her | ||||||
| 6 | parents were Willie and Ethel Louden; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, Rhoda Blanchard graduated from Hyde Park Academy | ||||||
| 8 | High School; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, Rhoda Blanchard was employed with the United | ||||||
| 10 | States Postal Service for over 30 years; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, Rhoda Blanchard was a member of the Liberty | ||||||
| 12 | Baptist Church New Rose of Sharon Morning Star Club, Feed the | ||||||
| 13 | People, the Missionary Department, and the D.Z. Jackson Chorus; | ||||||
| 14 | and
| ||||||
| 15 | WHEREAS, Rhoda Blanchard enjoyed bowling and cooking for | ||||||
| 16 | her family and friends; and
| ||||||
| 17 | WHEREAS, Rhoda Blanchard was preceded in death by her | ||||||
| 18 | parents; her brother, William; and her grandson, Charles; and
| ||||||

| 1 | WHEREAS, Rhoda Blanchard is survived by her husband, | ||||||
| 2 | Willard Blanchard; her son, Willard Blanchard Jr.; her | ||||||
| 3 | daughters, Sharron (Gregory) Anderson, Sonja (Robert) Denton, | ||||||
| 4 | Sharon (Rome) Darring, and LaDonna Harston; her grandchildren, | ||||||
| 5 | Xandra, Simone, Genesis, Jade, Destiny, and Robert; her | ||||||
| 6 | great-grandchild, Austin; her brothers, Clarence (Sandra) | ||||||
| 7 | Thomas and Dwight Phillips; her sisters-in-law, Janice Dumar, | ||||||
| 8 | Barbara Whitman, Mildred Hunter-Davis, and Gwendolyn Harris; | ||||||
| 9 | and her many other relatives and friends; therefore, be it

| 10 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
| 11 | NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
| 12 | we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of | ||||||
| 13 | Rhoda Blanchard; and be it further

| 14 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 15 | presented to the family of Rhoda Blanchard as an expression of | ||||||
