| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives wish to congratulate Greg Muller on the | ||||||
| 4 | occasion of his retirement as First Deputy Director with the | ||||||
| 5 | Illinois State Police on December 31, 2012; and
| ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, Greg Muller began his career with the Illinois | ||||||
| 7 | State Police on April 13, 1987, when he was appointed to Cadet | ||||||
| 8 | Class #81; upon his graduation on August 14, 1987, he was | ||||||
| 9 | assigned to District 9 in Springfield; on June 16, 1996, he | ||||||
| 10 | transferred from District 9 to the Division of Administration's | ||||||
| 11 | Logistics Bureau; and
| ||||||
| 12 | WHEREAS, Greg Muller steadily ascended the ranks of the | ||||||
| 13 | Illinois State Police throughout his career; on November 16, | ||||||
| 14 | 1996, he was promoted from trooper to sergeant; on March 20, | ||||||
| 15 | 1998, he was promoted to the rank of master sergeant; on | ||||||
| 16 | October 1, 2002, he was promoted to the rank of lieutenant; on | ||||||
| 17 | September 1, 2006, he was promoted to the rank of captain; on | ||||||
| 18 | January 1, 2007, he was appointed to the position of Deputy | ||||||
| 19 | Director of the Division of
Administration; on May 6, 2011, he | ||||||
| 20 | was appointed to the position of Colonel of the Division of | ||||||
| 21 | Internal Investigation; on January 1, 2012, he was appointed as | ||||||
| 22 | the First Deputy Director by ISP Director Hiram Grau; and
| ||||||

| 1 | WHEREAS, Greg Muller serves his community as a member of | ||||||
| 2 | the Athens Community Unit School District #213 School Board and | ||||||
| 3 | will serve as president of the school board in 2013; and
| ||||||
| 4 | WHEREAS, Greg Muller and his wife, Dawn, have one son, | ||||||
| 5 | Grant (Erin), and 2 daughters, Courtney and Haley; therefore, | ||||||
| 6 | be it

| 7 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
| 8 | NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
| 9 | we congratulate Greg Muller on the occasion of his retirement | ||||||
| 10 | and wish him continued success and happiness in the future; and | ||||||
| 11 | be it further
