Bill Title: Adds the Executive Director of the Illinois Commerce Commission or his or her designee as a member of the Task Force on Railroad and Bridge Infrastructure created by House Resolution 814 of the 97th General Assembly. Designates the Speaker of the Illinois House of Representatives or his or her designee (instead of the Illinois Secretary of Transportation) as the chair of the Task Force. Provides that the Illinois Commerce Commission (instead of the Illinois Department of Transportation) shall provide staffing support to the Task Force and shall administer and prepare all reports deemed necessary in conjunction with the Task Force.

HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, During the 97th General Assembly, House
3Resolution 814 created the Task Force on Railroad and Bridge
4Infrastructure to conduct in-depth research to identify the
5railroad tracks and bridges that are in need of repair so that
6the necessary infrastructure repairs can be done, and to report
7its findings to the House of Representatives on or before
8December 31, 2013; and
9 WHEREAS, The Executive Director of the Illinois Commerce
10Commission or his or her designee should be included as a
11member of the Task Force because the Illinois Commerce
12Commission, instead of the Illinois Department of
13Transportation, will provide staffing support for the Task
14Force; therefore, be it
15 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
16NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
17the Executive Director of the Illinois Commerce Commission or
18his or her designee shall serve as a member of the Task Force
19on Railroad and Bridge Infrastructure; and be it further
20 RESOLVED, That, instead of the Illinois Secretary of
21Transportation, the Speaker of the Illinois House of
22Representatives or his or her designee shall serve as the chair

1of the Task Force; and be it further
2 RESOLVED, That, instead of the Illinois Department of
3Transportation, the Illinois Commerce Commission shall provide
4staffing support to the Task Force and shall administer and

6Task Force; and be it further
7 RESOLVED, That with these changes, the Task Force on
8Railroad and Bridge Infrastructure shall continue to operate
9pursuant to House Resolution 814 of the 97th General Assembly.
