2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
| ||||||
3 | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of William | ||||||
4 | H.
Windler of Irvington, who passed away on May 16, 2016; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, William Windler was born in New Minden to William | ||||||
6 | F. and Emilie Hanke Windler on December 29,
1940; and
| ||||||
7 | WHEREAS, William Windler worked as a farmer; he was also | ||||||
8 | owner of Windler Auction Service and worked at Lampe | ||||||
9 | Construction; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, William Windler served as the Washington County
| ||||||
11 | Treasurer for 24 years, as Police Chief in Irvington, and on | ||||||
12 | the Washington County Fair Board and the Irvington School | ||||||
13 | Board; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, William Windler was a member of St. John Lutheran
| ||||||
15 | Church, the Irvington
Ruritan Club, and the Washington County | ||||||
16 | Extension Foundation; he was active in the Men's Club and the | ||||||
17 | Historical Society; he sang in
the choir and was a 4H leader | ||||||
18 | for many years; and
| ||||||
19 | WHEREAS, William Windler dedicated his life to his faith,
| ||||||
20 | family, and community; and

1 | WHEREAS, William Windler was preceded in death by his wife | ||||||
2 | of 56 years, Janet M. (Lampe); and
| ||||||
3 | WHEREAS, William Windler is survived by his daughters, | ||||||
4 | Karen (Michael) Berry, Christine (Scott) Bevil, and Beth (Sean) | ||||||
5 | Ballatini; his 6 grandchildren; his brother, Dennis (Trudy) | ||||||
6 | Windler; his sister,
Marilyn (Glen) Edwards; and his | ||||||
7 | brother-in-law, Patrick
(Anita) Lampe; therefore, be it
| ||||||
8 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
9 | NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | ||||||
10 | mourn the passing of William H. Windler, and extend our sincere | ||||||
11 | condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved | ||||||
12 | him; and be it further

13 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
14 | presented to the family of William Windler as an expression of | ||||||
15 | our deepest sympathy.
