| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Stanley | ||||||
| 4 | Maurice Bolton, who passed away on September 11, 2018; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Stanley Bolton was born in Chicago to
Cora Y. and | ||||||
| 6 | Garfield Bolton on December 17, 1952; he attended Hendricks | ||||||
| 7 | Elementary School and graduated from DuSable High School and | ||||||
| 8 | from Dawson Technical Institute as
a licensed practical nurse; | ||||||
| 9 | he married Christine Phillips; and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, Stanley Bolton worked for
numerous institutions, | ||||||
| 11 | including the Monroe Pavilion, Oak Forest
Hospital, and Cook | ||||||
| 12 | County Hospital; he
retired from Cook County Hospital in 2007; | ||||||
| 13 | and
| ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, Stanley Bolton attended Greater Mt.
Moriah | ||||||
| 15 | Baptist Church, where he served as a trustee, worked on the | ||||||
| 16 | kitchen committee, and
hosted many programs; he enjoyed helping | ||||||
| 17 | young people and offered advice, assistance through hard times, | ||||||
| 18 | and career guidance; and
| ||||||
| 19 | WHEREAS, Stanley Bolton was preceded in death by his | ||||||
| 20 | father, Garfield Bolton; and
| ||||||

| 1 | WHEREAS, Stanley Bolton is survived by his wife of 36 | ||||||
| 2 | years, Christine; his mother,
Cora; his son, Derrick; his | ||||||
| 3 | daughters, Deborah and Christina (Jimmy);
his stepchildren, | ||||||
| 4 | Vita, Vicqui, and Quentin; his brothers, Warren
(Othella), | ||||||
| 5 | Larry (Sarah), and Brian (Andrea); his sister, Susan
(Vince) | ||||||
| 6 | Macikas; his Goddaughter, Felicia Cobbins; his grandchildren,
| ||||||
| 7 | Garrett, Lauren, Gia, Jamari, Taniqa, Derrick, Zachary, | ||||||
| 8 | Thomas,
Kamari, Grant, Jayden, and Azai; and numerous aunts, | ||||||
| 9 | uncles, nieces,
nephews, cousins, and special friends; | ||||||
| 10 | therefore, be it

| 11 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
| 12 | HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | ||||||
| 13 | mourn the passing of Stanley Maurice Bolton and extend our | ||||||
| 14 | sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew | ||||||
| 15 | and loved him; and be it further
| ||||||
| 16 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 17 | presented to the family of Stanley Bolton as an expression of | ||||||
| 18 | our deepest sympathy.
