| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives wish to congratulate Captain Kurt Schlueter on | ||||||
| 4 | the occasion of his retirement from the Western Springs Fire | ||||||
| 5 | Department on May 5, 2016, after 41 years of dedicated service; | ||||||
| 6 | and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, During the past 41 years, Captain Kurt Schlueter | ||||||
| 8 | has served the Western Springs Fire Department and the citizens | ||||||
| 9 | of Western Springs in a manner marked by hard work, honor, and | ||||||
| 10 | professionalism; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, Captain Kurt Schlueter was one of the first | ||||||
| 12 | licensed paramedics on the Western Springs Fire Department and | ||||||
| 13 | was instrumental in enabling the Department to become an early | ||||||
| 14 | leader in the provision of emergency advanced life support | ||||||
| 15 | services; and
| ||||||
| 16 | WHEREAS, In addition to his firefighting and paramedic | ||||||
| 17 | duties, Captain Kurt Schlueter also was responsible for | ||||||
| 18 | providing the Department's fire prevention services to the | ||||||
| 19 | Western Springs community for many years; and
| ||||||
| 20 | WHEREAS, Having risen through the ranks from | ||||||
| 21 | Firefighter/Paramedic to Lieutenant to Captain, Captain Kurt | ||||||

| |||||||
| 1 | Schlueter has earned the respect of the members of this body | ||||||
| 2 | and the citizens of Western Springs as a leader and a friend; | ||||||
| 3 | and
| ||||||
| 4 | WHEREAS, Captain Kurt Schlueter serves as a model of hard | ||||||
| 5 | work, integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of | ||||||
| 6 | Illinois; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 7 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
| 8 | NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | ||||||
| 9 | congratulate Captain Kurt Schlueter on the occasion of his | ||||||
| 10 | retirement and wish him continued success and happiness in the | ||||||
| 11 | future; and be it further

| 12 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
