| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Katie Ann | ||||||
| 4 | Lunn of Chicago, formerly of Fort Dodge, who passed away on | ||||||
| 5 | April 16, 2010; and
| ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, Katie touched many people in her life with her | ||||||
| 7 | infectious smile and positive attitude; she brought joy to | ||||||
| 8 | everyone she met and lit up every room she entered; her life | ||||||
| 9 | was a celebration and she lived every moment of it like it was | ||||||
| 10 | her last; she was wise beyond her years and knew that true | ||||||
| 11 | happiness was not measured by what you have but the lives that | ||||||
| 12 | you positively affect; and
| ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, She had a deep devotion to God and family; her | ||||||
| 14 | dreams and passion were dance and she spent her life spreading | ||||||
| 15 | that passion to young kids through her life as Dance Company | ||||||
| 16 | Manager, Instructor, and Choreographer at The School of | ||||||
| 17 | Performing Arts in Naperville; she began teaching five years | ||||||
| 18 | ago, working with students from ages 3 to 18; she was also a | ||||||
| 19 | dancer with Hip Hop ConnXions and the Chicago Dance Theatre; | ||||||
| 20 | and
| ||||||
| 21 | WHEREAS, Her passion and legacy is evident by the hundreds | ||||||
| 22 | of messages posted to her Facebook page "In loving Memory of | ||||||

| 1 | Katie Lunn" by her friends, students, and family; Katie loved | ||||||
| 2 | her family and friends deeply; she loved spending time with | ||||||
| 3 | them being active; and
| ||||||
| 4 | WHEREAS, She was a graduate of Oklahoma City University, | ||||||
| 5 | where she received her degree in dance management; she danced | ||||||
| 6 | for the American Spirit Dance Company and the Oklahoma City | ||||||
| 7 | University Pep Dancers; she danced and choreographed for the | ||||||
| 8 | Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz Arena Football Dance Team; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, She was an assistant stage manager and assistant | ||||||
| 10 | children's director for many Oklahoma City University American | ||||||
| 11 | Spirit Dance Company performances; and she was an instructor at | ||||||
| 12 | the Joffrey Ballet School; and
| ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her grandfather Glen | ||||||
| 14 | Porter; and
| ||||||
| 15 | WHEREAS, Katie Ann Lunn is survived by her parents, Jerry | ||||||
| 16 | and Julie Lunn; her sister, Jessica Lunn and soon to be | ||||||
| 17 | brother-in-law, Joe Vonsak; her brother, Mitch Lunn and his | ||||||
| 18 | wife, Jamie; her niece, Cambree and nephew, McKade; her | ||||||
| 19 | grandparents, Frank and Connie Lunn and Irene Porter; and her | ||||||
| 20 | aunts, uncles, and cousins; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 21 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||

| 1 | NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | ||||||
| 2 | mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Katie | ||||||
| 3 | Ann Lunn; and be it further
| ||||||
| 4 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 5 | presented to the family of Katie Ann Lunn as a symbol of our | ||||||
| 6 | sincere sympathy.
