HOUSE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
Representatives wish to congratulate Dr. Lynette Mehall on the
occasion of her retirement as principal of Kingsley Junior High
School in Mclean County Unified School District 5; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Mehall started her Unit 5 career in 1998 as
the assistant principal at Chiddix Jr. High school; she moved
to Fairview as principal in 2001, and from 2003 to the present,
she has been the principal at Kingsley Junior High School;
before coming to Unit 5, she held various positions at
Streator, Washington Elementary, Bent Elementary, and
Bloomington Jr. High School; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Mehall enjoys sewing, crafts, reading,
cooking, boating, hiking, walking, and traveling to New York
City; Durango, Colorado; and overseas; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Mehall plans to continue teaching part-time at
Illinois State University, join 4 Seasons, lunch with friends,
travel, spend more time with her family, and cook more meals;
and
WHEREAS, Dr. Lynette Mehall's contagious passion and
unbelievable enthusiasm will not soon be forgotten, and has

truly touched the lives of many; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
we congratulate Dr. Lynette Mehall on her retirement as
principal of Kingsley Junior High School; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to Dr. Mehall as an expression of our esteem and
respect.
