HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives would like to congratulate the members of the
4Franklin Park track and field teams, the Bobcats, on their
5finishes at the SIJHSAA Class L state track meet on May 12,
62018; the boys track and field team finished second in the
7State and the girls team finished 11th; and
8 WHEREAS, The Franklin Park boys track and field team went
9undefeated in 2018 regular season competition, including a
10regional championship; and
11 WHEREAS, 8th grader Caden Bee won the state championship in
12the 100m hurdles and 400 meters, setting new school and State
13records in both races; he also set a new school record in the
14200m race, in which he finished second; and
15 WHEREAS, Caden Bee went undefeated in the 100m hurdles and
16the 400m over the course of the 2018 season, in addition to his
17three separate state championships; he was also undefeated in
18the 200m race until his second place finish at the state meet;
19and
20 WHEREAS, The team of Caden Bee, Caden Inlow, Cayden Harris,
21and Brayden Smith won the state championship in the 4x100m

1relay, finishing with a school-record time of 46.45; the relay
2team was undefeated for the entire 2018 season; and
3 WHEREAS, The 4x200m relay team consisting of Jonny Eyman,
4Caden Inlow, Eli Davis, and Brayden Smith finished second in
5the State, also setting a new school record time of 1:39.58;
6and
7 WHEREAS, The 4x400m relay team of Brayden Smith, Josh
8Guenard, Jonny Eyman, and Cayden Harris placed eighth in the
9State with a time of 3:57.89; Bryson Quinn finished fifth in
10the pole vault, leaping 9'6"; and
11 WHEREAS, The 7th grade 4x200m relay team of Jervace Mayes,
12Isaak Williams, Griffin Day, and Aden Susmena placed fourth in
13the State with a time of 1:46.81; and
14 WHEREAS, Katelyn Biegeleisen won the state championship in
15the high jump, leaping an impressive five feet; and
16 WHEREAS, Katie Allen finished second in the pole vault,
17vaulting 8'6"; prior to her second place finish at the state
18meet, she was undefeated in 2018; and
19 WHEREAS, Teyah Cape finished fifth in the 7th grade 100m
20race with a time of 13.15; and

1 WHEREAS, The Bobcats are coached by Franklin Park Athletic
2Director Suzie Worman, Head Coaches Alex Koebele, Tyson Moore,
3and Amy Brubaker, and Assistant Coaches Cory Harris, Elizabeth
4Smith, Andrew Miller, and Jamie Powless; therefore, be it
5 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
6HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
7congratulate the boys and girls track teams of Franklin Park
8Middle School on all of their accomplishments at the SIJHSAA
9state track and field meet on May 12, 2018; and be it further
10 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to Franklin Park Middle School as a symbol of our
12esteem and respect.
