| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives wish to recognize Christian Liberty Academy on | ||||||
| 4 | the occasion of its 50th anniversary; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Christian Liberty Academy was founded in 1968 by | ||||||
| 6 | Dr. Paul D. Lindstrom as a ministry of the Church of Christian | ||||||
| 7 | Liberty and moved to Arlington Heights in 1985; and
| ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, The Academy teaches the historic Christian faith | ||||||
| 9 | and the conservative and constitutional principles of our | ||||||
| 10 | nation's founding and history; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, The Academy has had over 1,000 graduates from its | ||||||
| 12 | local campus and 10,000 graduates through its home education | ||||||
| 13 | program; the program emphasizes the importance of strong | ||||||
| 14 | academics and Christian character; and
| ||||||
| 15 | WHEREAS, Academy students routinely exceed national, | ||||||
| 16 | state, and local averages on standardized tests, receiving no | ||||||
| 17 | federal, state, or local funding; and
| ||||||
| 18 | WHEREAS, The Academy currently serves families located | ||||||
| 19 | across Chicagoland, with many families coming from other | ||||||
| 20 | countries; and

| 1 | WHEREAS, Christian Liberty Academy respects and honors | ||||||
| 2 | those who serve in our nation's military and local police | ||||||
| 3 | forces; therefore, be it

| 4 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
| 5 | HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | ||||||
| 6 | recognize the 50th anniversary of Christian Liberty Academy and | ||||||
| 7 | thank them for their contributions to the community; and be it | ||||||
| 8 | further
| ||||||
| 9 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 10 | presented to Christian Liberty Academy as an expression of our | ||||||
| 11 | esteem and respect.
