HOUSE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
Representatives wish to congratulate Kennison Adams of
Edwardsville on receiving the 2018 Prudential Spirit of
Community Award for her exemplary volunteer service; and
WHEREAS, Kennison Adams is a student at Edwardsville High
School; she earned the award by giving generously of her time
and energy to the Edwardsville Fire Department Explorer Post;
and
WHEREAS, The Prudential Spirit of Community Award,
presented by Prudential Financial in partnership with the
National Association of Secondary School Principals, honors
young volunteers across America who have demonstrated an
extraordinary commitment to serving their communities; and
WHEREAS, The success of the State of Illinois, the strength
of our communities, and the overall vitality of American
society depends in great measure upon the dedication of young
people like Kennison Adams, who use their considerable talents
and resources to serve others; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we

and thank her for her leadership and community spirit, and we
