| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives are pleased to congratulate the members of the | ||||||
| 4 | Villa Grove Devilettes dance team on the occasion of winning | ||||||
| 5 | the IDTA State Championship; and
| ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, The Villa Grove Devilettes began their season with | ||||||
| 7 | a first place victory at Charleston High School on January 14, | ||||||
| 8 | 2012; despite their tough competition, the team emerged | ||||||
| 9 | victorious from the IDTA State Championship at the University | ||||||
| 10 | of Illinois Assembly Hall on March 17, 2012; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, The Villa Grove Devilettes' victory marks the | ||||||
| 12 | first ever State Championship for the dance team; it is also | ||||||
| 13 | only the second-ever State championship that Villa Grove High | ||||||
| 14 | School has ever won, the last being from the basketball team in | ||||||
| 15 | 1923; and
| ||||||
| 16 | WHEREAS, The members of the Villa Grove Devilettes dance | ||||||
| 17 | team are Katina Clodfelder, Celeste Cler, Hunter Hettinger, | ||||||
| 18 | Sara Tondini, Sarah Showalter, Ashlee Turner, Carly Bushell, | ||||||
| 19 | Hannah Alvis, Bryanna Broady, Taylor Quinn, Keyaira Bielert, | ||||||
| 20 | and Cory Tibbetts; the team's coach is Alyssa Hudson; and

| 21 | WHEREAS, The members of the Villa Grove Devilettes dance | ||||||

| 1 | team serve as models of hard work, integrity, and dedication | ||||||
| 2 | for the people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it

| 3 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
| 4 | NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
| 5 | we congratulate the members of the Villa Grove Devilettes dance | ||||||
| 6 | team on the occasion of winning the IDTA State Championship and | ||||||
| 7 | wish them continued success and happiness in the future; and be | ||||||
