| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives wish to recognize Janet S. Stover on the | ||||||
| 4 | occasion of her retirement as President and CEO from the | ||||||
| 5 | Illinois Association of Rehabilitation Facilities (IARF) on | ||||||
| 6 | March 31, 2018; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, Janet S. Stover has served in multiple positions | ||||||
| 8 | and capacities with the Illinois Association of Rehabilitation | ||||||
| 9 | Facilities since its formation in November 1975, including as a | ||||||
| 10 | volunteer and Associate Executive Director; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, Janet S. Stover was named President and CEO of the | ||||||
| 12 | Illinois Association of Rehabilitation Facilities in April | ||||||
| 13 | 2000 and has led the organization for the past 18 years; and
| ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, Janet S. Stover was inducted into the American | ||||||
| 15 | Network of Community Options and Resources (ANCOR) Foundation | ||||||
| 16 | Legacy Leaders Circle; the ANCOR Foundation Legacy Leaders | ||||||
| 17 | Circle celebrates the accomplishments of the men and women who | ||||||
| 18 | have paved the way to life in the community for people with | ||||||
| 19 | disabilities; they are visionary leaders who have made | ||||||
| 20 | meaningful community participation a reality for thousands of | ||||||
| 21 | individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities | ||||||
| 22 | over the years; and

| 1 | WHEREAS, Janet S. Stover founded the IARfuture Leadership | ||||||
| 2 | initiative in 2016, a one-of-a-kind program designed to | ||||||
| 3 | develop, train, and strengthen future generations of leaders | ||||||
| 4 | working in not-for-profit social service agencies; since the | ||||||
| 5 | initiative was started, 40 individuals with a range of | ||||||
| 6 | experiences have graduated the program; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, Janet S. Stover has provided exceptional | ||||||
| 8 | leadership on behalf of the Illinois Association of | ||||||
| 9 | Rehabilitation facilities; during her tenure, she has worked | ||||||
| 10 | with government and stakeholders to advance high quality, | ||||||
| 11 | community-based services and supports for children and adults | ||||||
| 12 | with intellectual and developmental disabilities and serious | ||||||
| 13 | mental illnesses; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 14 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
| 15 | HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that that | ||||||
| 16 | we recognize Janet S. Stover on her retirement as President and | ||||||
| 17 | CEO from the Illinois Association of Rehabilitation | ||||||
| 18 | Facilities, and we wish her the best in all of her future | ||||||
| 19 | endeavors; and be it further
| ||||||
| 20 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 21 | presented to Janet S. Stover as an expression of our esteem and | ||||||
| 22 | respect.
