HOUSE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Lorraine
Ringa of Long Lake, who passed away on March 18, 2014; and
WHEREAS, Lorraine Ringa was born on June 24, 1923 in
Chicago; she was the daughter of the late William and Emelia
Kleczewski (nee Klee); she grew up in Chicago, where she worked
in the family bakery; and
WHEREAS, Lorraine Ringa was a resident of Lake Villa since
1958; she worked with her husband in the family funeral home;
she later retired to Long Lake, where her family has had a home
since 1925; and
WHEREAS, Lorraine Ringa was a member of Prince of Peace
Church and the Long Lake Yacht Club, where she was a dedicated
member of the Tuesday Tillies Ladies Group; and
WHEREAS, Lorraine Ringa enjoyed fishing, practical jokes,
sunsets and sunrises, traveling, playing the accordion, and
gardening; she will be fondly remembered for her
resourcefulness, her collections of bottle openers and hats,
and her fierce independence; and

WHEREAS, Lorraine Ringa is survived by her son, Robert
(Robyn) Ringa, Jr.; her grandchildren Robert "RJ" (Megan
Mccurry) Ringa, III and Andrew (Colleen) Ringa; and her
great-grandchildren, Maceo Ringa and Lincoln Ringa; therefore,
be it
RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of
Lorraine Ringa; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to the family of Lorraine Ringa as an expression of
our sympathy.
