| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Lorraine | ||||||
| 4 | Ringa of Long Lake, who passed away on March 18, 2014; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Lorraine Ringa was born on June 24, 1923 in | ||||||
| 6 | Chicago; she was the daughter of the late William and Emelia | ||||||
| 7 | Kleczewski (nee Klee); she grew up in Chicago, where she worked | ||||||
| 8 | in the family bakery; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, Lorraine Ringa was a resident of Lake Villa since | ||||||
| 10 | 1958; she worked with her husband in the family funeral home; | ||||||
| 11 | she later retired to Long Lake, where her family has had a home | ||||||
| 12 | since 1925; and
| ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, Lorraine Ringa was a member of Prince of Peace | ||||||
| 14 | Church and the Long Lake Yacht Club, where she was a dedicated | ||||||
| 15 | member of the Tuesday Tillies Ladies Group; and
| ||||||
| 16 | WHEREAS, Lorraine Ringa enjoyed fishing, practical jokes, | ||||||
| 17 | sunsets and sunrises, traveling, playing the accordion, and | ||||||
| 18 | gardening; she will be fondly remembered for her | ||||||
| 19 | resourcefulness, her collections of bottle openers and hats, | ||||||
| 20 | and her fierce independence; and

| 1 | WHEREAS, Lorraine Ringa is survived by her son, Robert | ||||||
| 2 | (Robyn) Ringa, Jr.; her grandchildren Robert "RJ" (Megan | ||||||
| 3 | Mccurry) Ringa, III and Andrew (Colleen) Ringa; and her | ||||||
| 4 | great-grandchildren, Maceo Ringa and Lincoln Ringa; therefore, | ||||||
| 5 | be it

| 6 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
| 7 | NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
| 8 | we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of | ||||||
| 9 | Lorraine Ringa; and be it further
| ||||||
| 10 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 11 | presented to the family of Lorraine Ringa as an expression of | ||||||
| 12 | our sympathy.
