| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives wish to congratulate the Triton College men's | ||||||
| 4 | basketball team, the Trojans, on winning the 2018 NJCAA | ||||||
| 5 | Division II National Championship; and
| ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, The Trojans completed their championship run with | ||||||
| 7 | a 89-85 victory over Pima (AZ) Community College on March 24, | ||||||
| 8 | 2018 at Danville Area Community College to claim their first | ||||||
| 9 | championship in the sport; and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, Alondes Williams led the way for the Trojans with | ||||||
| 11 | 22 points in the championship game, and Najee Brown-Henderson | ||||||
| 12 | had 16, with both being named to the All-Tournament team; | ||||||
| 13 | Deonta Terrell, who had 15 points in the championship game, was | ||||||
| 14 | named the tourney MVP; and
| ||||||
| 15 | WHEREAS, The Trojans finished their historic season with a | ||||||
| 16 | record of 34 wins and 4 losses; and

| 17 | WHEREAS, The Trojans are coached by Head Coach Steve | ||||||
| 18 | Christiansen and Assistant Coaches Plato Dimakos, Rex Parker, | ||||||
| 19 | Tyler Jones, and Brad Fitzpatrick; and
