| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives wish to congratulate Clare Vanspeybroeck on | ||||||
| 4 | receiving a 2018 Prudential Spirit of Community Award; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Clare Vanspeybroeck, an esteemed resident of Rock | ||||||
| 6 | Island and a student at Alleman High School, has achieved | ||||||
| 7 | national recognition for her exemplary volunteer service; and
| ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, This prestigious award, presented by Prudential | ||||||
| 9 | Financial in partnership with the National Association of | ||||||
| 10 | Secondary School Principals, honors young volunteers across | ||||||
| 11 | America who have demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to | ||||||
| 12 | serving their communities; and
| ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, Clare Vanspeybroeck earned this award by giving | ||||||
| 14 | generously of her time and energy to direct an annual volunteer | ||||||
| 15 | meal packaging event for the past four years; her program has | ||||||
| 16 | packaged over 78,000 meals and has raised more than $11,000 to | ||||||
| 17 | aid in feeding the hungry in Rock Island; over 500 volunteers | ||||||
| 18 | have joined her in her cause; and
| ||||||
| 19 | WHEREAS, Clare Vanspeybroeck has ensured that her program | ||||||
| 20 | will continue to grow and carry on after she graduates; | ||||||
| 21 | therefore, be it

| 1 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
| 2 | HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | ||||||
| 3 | honor Clare Vanspeybroeck for her volunteer efforts, and we | ||||||
| 4 | congratulate her on earning a Prudential Spirit of Community | ||||||
| 5 | Award; we extend our best wishes for her continued success and | ||||||
