HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Barbara
4Ann Little of Bethalto, who passed away on January 9, 2014; and
5 WHEREAS, Barbara Little was born on December 31, 1933 in
6Alton; her parents were Arthur and Reba (nee Edwards) Schelle;
7she married Leon A. Little on October 18, 1958 at St. Patrick's
8Catholic Church in Alton; and
9 WHEREAS, Barbara Little attended St. Patrick's Catholic
10Grade School in Alton; she subsequently graduated from Alton
11High School; and
12 WHEREAS, Barbara Little was a homemaker by trade; she was a
13member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Bethalto,
14where she was a member of the funeral choir for several years;
15and
16 WHEREAS, Barbara Little enjoyed watching her kids'
17sporting events and other activities, an activity that carried
18over to her grandchildren once they were old enough to
19participate; and
20 WHEREAS, Barbara Little was preceded in death by her

1husband, Leon; her parents; her brother, Tom Schelle; and her
2sisters, Norma Sholar and Nancy Westbrook; and
3 WHEREAS, Barbara Little is survived by her son, Phillip
4Little; her daughter and son-in-law, Shelley and Terry Eberlin;
5her grandchildren, Ryan and Kerri Little and Keenan, Autumn,
6and Tess Eberlin; her sister and her husband, Linda and Gary
7Herron; her sister-in-law, Peg Schelle; her brothers-in-law,
8Dexter Sholar and Jim Westbrook; her former daughter-in-law,
9Jill (Pickering) Little; and her many nieces and nephews;
10therefore, be it
11 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
12NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
13we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of
14Barbara Ann Little; and be it further
15 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16presented to the family of Barbara Little as an expression of
17our sympathy.
