| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives are pleased to congratulate Telecommunicator | ||||||
| 4 | Specialist Debra "Jody" Baggerly on the occasion of her | ||||||
| 5 | retirement from the Illinois State Police District 9 in | ||||||
| 6 | Springfield; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, Debra Baggerly was hired as a Telecommunicator | ||||||
| 8 | Trainee by the Illinois State Police on January 4, 1988; she | ||||||
| 9 | was promoted to Telecommunicator on August 1, 1988 and served | ||||||
| 10 | as a Telecommunicator Call Taker and a Telecommunicator Lead | ||||||
| 11 | Call Taker; and
| ||||||
| 12 | WHEREAS, Debra Baggerly was promoted to Telecommunicator | ||||||
| 13 | Specialist on September 1, 2007; and
| ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, Debra Baggerly was selected as Telecommunicator | ||||||
| 15 | of the Year in 2013; and
| ||||||
| 16 | WHEREAS, For 26 years, Debra Baggerly was the initial point | ||||||
| 17 | of contact for citizens requiring emergency services and was a | ||||||
| 18 | vital life-line for the troopers in the field; she was a valued | ||||||
| 19 | member of the Springfield communications team and | ||||||
| 20 | distinguished herself as dependable, productive, and a | ||||||
| 21 | highly-regarded employee who truly earned the respect of her | ||||||

| 1 | peers and sworn officers; and
| ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, Debra Baggerly officially retired from the | ||||||
| 3 | Illinois State Police on January 31, 2014 and plans to spend | ||||||
| 4 | her retirement with her husband, Robin Baggerly and their | ||||||
| 5 | family; she plans to do more writing in retirement; therefore, | ||||||
| 6 | be it

| 7 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
| 8 | NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
| 9 | we congratulate Telecommunicator Specialist Debra "Jody" | ||||||
| 10 | Baggerly on her retirement and wish her the best in all her | ||||||
| 11 | future endeavors; and be it further
| ||||||
| 12 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 13 | presented to Debra Baggerly as an expression of our esteem and | ||||||
