| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives wish to commend Vivian Zhao of Naperville on | ||||||
| 4 | being named one of the top youth volunteers in Illinois for | ||||||
| 5 | 2020 as part of the 25th annual Prudential Spirit of Community | ||||||
| 6 | Awards; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, Vivian Zhao was named a Distinguished Finalist in | ||||||
| 8 | the program out of 29,000 people across the United States who | ||||||
| 9 | participated; and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, Vivian Zhao founded and runs the non-profit All | ||||||
| 11 | Hearts Count, an organization that strives to help students | ||||||
| 12 | learn how to properly administer CPR on women; and
| ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, Vivian Zhao started All Hearts Count after | ||||||
| 14 | learning that, due to several factors including sexual | ||||||
| 15 | harassment concerns, women are 15% less likely to receive CPR | ||||||
| 16 | in public than men; and
| ||||||
| 17 | WHEREAS, All Hearts Count has donated six CPR WoManikin | ||||||
| 18 | attachments for CPR manikins that are shaped like female bodies | ||||||
| 19 | to help students learn how to properly administer CPR on women; | ||||||
| 20 | and

| 1 | WHEREAS, In addition to her work with All Hearts Count and | ||||||
| 2 | raising awareness for her cause, Vivian Zhao has organized | ||||||
| 3 | several fundraisers; therefore, be it

| 4 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
| 5 | HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
| 6 | we congratulate Vivian Zhao on being named one of the top youth | ||||||
| 7 | volunteers in Illinois for 2020, and we wish her the best in | ||||||
| 8 | all her future endeavors; and be it further
| ||||||
| 9 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 10 | presented to Vivian Zhao as an expression of our esteem and | ||||||
