| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives are pleased to congratulate the | ||||||
| 4 | administration, teachers, and students of Glenbrook South High | ||||||
| 5 | School in Glenview on the occasion of the school's 50th | ||||||
| 6 | anniversary; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, The 50th anniversary of Glenbrook South High | ||||||
| 8 | School will be honored during the 50th Golden Gala V-Show on | ||||||
| 9 | February 25, 2012 at the David P. Pasquini | ||||||
| 10 | Fieldhouse/Auditorium; Glenbrook South will also host a year's | ||||||
| 11 | worth of activities to commemorate this milestone event; and
| ||||||
| 12 | WHEREAS, Glenbrook South High School continues to | ||||||
| 13 | demonstrate its commitment to educational excellence by | ||||||
| 14 | placing
in the top 94th percentile nationwide for ACT scores | ||||||
| 15 | and receiving awards for Principal of the Year from the | ||||||
| 16 | Illinois
Principals Association and 2 Presidential Awards for | ||||||
| 17 | Excellence in Teaching Mathematics and Science; Glenbrook | ||||||
| 18 | South is also among
the first schools in the nation to receive | ||||||
| 19 | the Excellence in Education Award from the United States | ||||||
| 20 | Department of
Education; and
| ||||||
| 21 | WHEREAS, Glenbrook South High School is proudly | ||||||
| 22 | represented by such distinguished alumni as Tony | ||||||

| 5 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||

| 7 | we congratulate the administration, teachers, and students of | ||||||
| 8 | Glenbrook South High School on the occasion of the school's | ||||||
| 9 | 50th anniversary and wish them continued success and happiness | ||||||
| 10 | in the future; and be it further
