| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives wish to congratulate Lindsey Jensen on being | ||||||
| 4 | selected as the 2018 Illinois Teacher of the Year by the | ||||||
| 5 | Illinois State Board of Education; and
| ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, Through education, Lindsey Jensen has changed the | ||||||
| 7 | lives of students; she has been teaching for 12 years and began | ||||||
| 8 | her career as a teacher's aide in junior high; for the past | ||||||
| 9 | nine years, she has been teaching high school English; and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, Lindsey Jensen is in her fourth year at Dwight | ||||||
| 11 | Township High School, where she teaches 11th and 12th grade | ||||||
| 12 | English; and
| ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, Lindsey Jensen is known for presenting material in | ||||||
| 14 | creative ways, such as through song, and for her contagious | ||||||
| 15 | desire for students to not only earn good grades, but to also | ||||||
| 16 | truly understand the material; and
| ||||||
| 17 | WHEREAS, Lindsey Jensen is involved in the community beyond | ||||||
| 18 | the classroom and has raised thousands of dollars for Special | ||||||
| 19 | Olympics; and
| ||||||
| 20 | WHEREAS, Lindsey Jensen was selected as the 2018 Illinois | ||||||

| 1 | Teacher of the Year at the Those Who Excel banquet in Normal, | ||||||
| 2 | Illinois on October 28, 2017; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 3 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
| 4 | HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | ||||||
| 5 | congratulate Lindsey Jensen on being selected as the Illinois | ||||||
| 6 | Teacher of the Year, and we thank her for her continuing | ||||||
| 7 | commitment to education; and be it further
| ||||||
| 8 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 9 | presented to Lindsey Jensen as an expression of our esteem and | ||||||
