HOUSE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
Representatives wish to congratulate Laverne Kloess on the
occasion of her retirement from the St. Clair County State's
Attorney's Office on September 1, 2015; and
WHEREAS, Laverne Kloess is retiring after almost 30 years
of employment with the St. Clair County State's Attorney's
Office and 10 years with the St. Clair County Circuit Clerk's
Office; and
WHEREAS, Laverne Kloess began her career with the St. Clair
County State's Attorney's Office on March 1, 1986; she was also
employed with the St. Clair County Circuit Clerk's Office from
1971 to 1981; and
WHEREAS, Laverne Kloess began her career as a clerk in the
Child Support Division; she subsequently transferred to the
Traffic and Misdemeanor Division and worked in the Juvenile
Division from 1987 until her retirement; and
WHEREAS, Laverne Kloess was instrumental in the training of
many Assistant State's Attorneys in the Juvenile Division; and
WHEREAS, Laverne Kloess serves as a model of hard work,

integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of
Illinois; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
congratulate Laverne Kloess on the occasion of her retirement
and wish her continued success and happiness in the future; and
be it further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to Laverne Kloess as a symbol of our esteem and
respect.
