HOUSE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
Representatives wish to congratulate Staff Sergeant Jessie
Bowman on the occasion of his retirement from the United States
Marine Corps on September 5, 2015, after many years of service
to his country; and
WHEREAS, SSgt. Jessie Bowman graduated from Lincoln Senior
High School in 1994; on December 26, 1995, he enlisted in the
United States Marine Corps; and
WHEREAS, SSgt. Jessie Bowman attained various ranks
throughout his tenure with the Marine Corps, having attained
the rank of staff sergeant at the time of his retirement; he
also served as a recruiter for 3 years; his job title upon the
completion of his service will be Logistics Specialist; and
WHEREAS, During his 20 years in the Marine Corps, SSgt.
Jessie Bowman was stationed in San Diego, California for most
of his career, but also completed tours in Saudi Arabia,
Afghanistan, Japan, and Iraq; and
WHEREAS, SSgt. Jessie Bowman serves as a model of hard
work, integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of
Illinois; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
congratulate Staff Sergeant Jessie Bowman on the occasion of
his retirement and wish him continued success and happiness in
the future; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to SSgt. Jessie Bowman as a symbol of our esteem and
respect.
