| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives are pleased to congratulate the citizens of the | ||||||
| 4 | City of Salem for hosting the Professional Kennel Club (PKC) | ||||||
| 5 | Fall Superstakes, Youth and World Coon Hunting Championship; | ||||||
| 6 | and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, The Professional Kennel Club will hold their | ||||||
| 8 | annual World Coon Hunting Championship in the City of Salem | ||||||
| 9 | from October 22 through 31, 2009; and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, The arrival of the PKC and its coonhound | ||||||
| 11 | championship event will provide a much-needed economic boost to | ||||||
| 12 | southern Illinois, thanks to the influx of thousands of eager | ||||||
| 13 | spectators; and
| ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, The PKC and the championship's competitors, | ||||||
| 15 | visitors, and staff will all benefit greatly from the renowned | ||||||
| 16 | hospitality of the people of Marion County and the many | ||||||
| 17 | communities along the Interstate 57 corridor; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 18 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
| 19 | NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | ||||||
| 20 | congratulate the citizens of the City of Salem for hosting the | ||||||
| 21 | Professional Kennel Club's Youth and World Coon Hunting | ||||||

| 1 | Championship and wish them continued good fortune in the | ||||||
| 2 | future; and be it further
| ||||||
| 3 | RESOLVED, That we welcome the members of the PKC to the | ||||||
| 4 | State of Illinois and wish for their visit to be a wonderful | ||||||
| 5 | experience for everyone involved; and be it further
| ||||||
| 6 | RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be | ||||||
| 7 | presented to Leonard Ferguson, Mayor of the City of Salem, and | ||||||
| 8 | Roger Dale Carnegie, owner/CEO of the Professional Kennel Club.
