| ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, The Members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives are pleased to recognize significant | ||||||
| 4 | accomplishments and milestones celebrated by citizens of this | ||||||
| 5 | State; and
| ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, Jim Hayner, Village Administrator of the Village | ||||||
| 7 | of Gurnee, will retire from the Village after 34 years of hard | ||||||
| 8 | work and selfless and dedicated service to the Village of | ||||||
| 9 | Gurnee; and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, Jim Hayner has worked with the Village of Gurnee | ||||||
| 11 | since 1977 and has served in numerous positions within the | ||||||
| 12 | Village including Administrative Assistant, Assistant | ||||||
| 13 | Administrator, and Director of Building and Zoning; and
| ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, Jim Hayner, during his tenure as Administrator, | ||||||
| 15 | oversaw tremendous growth in the Village with commercial | ||||||
| 16 | developments such as Gurnee Mills, Tri State Business Park, the | ||||||
| 17 | Grand/Hunt Development, and KeyLime Cove Resort, all being | ||||||
| 18 | approved and constructed; and
| ||||||
| 19 | WHEREAS, Jim Hayner, during his tenure as Administrator, | ||||||
| 20 | oversaw Village operations being expanded to meet the needs of | ||||||
| 21 | the Village, including the financing and construction of | ||||||
| |||||||
| |||||||
| 1 | Gurnee's new Village Hall, Fire Station #2, the Public Works | ||||||
| 2 | facility, and the Police Station; and
| ||||||
| 3 | WHEREAS, Jim Hayner was involved with the creation of, and | ||||||
| 4 | has served as, chairman of the Central Lake County Joint Action | ||||||
| 5 | Water Agency, served as an executive member of the Solid Waste | ||||||
| 6 | Agency of Lake County, was Lake County's representative on the | ||||||
| 7 | Lake County Municipal League's Board of Directors, and was | ||||||
| 8 | chairman of the Lake County Managers Group; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, Jim Hayner was also involved in the greater Gurnee | ||||||
| 10 | community, with organizations such as the Gurnee Breakfast | ||||||
| 11 | Exchange Club, the Warren Township High School Foundation | ||||||
| 12 | Board, the Warren Township High School Hall of Fame Committee, | ||||||
| 13 | and in various coaching capacities; and
| ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, Jim Hayner is a lifelong resident of the Village | ||||||
| 15 | of Gurnee and has spent decades improving the lives of those | ||||||
| 16 | around him, as well as overseeing the evolution of his hometown | ||||||
| 17 | Village of Gurnee; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 18 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
| 19 | NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
| 20 | we congratulate Jim Hayner on his retirement and wish him well | ||||||
| 21 | in his future endeavors; and be it further
| ||||||
