| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives are pleased to congratulate the Dakota High | ||||||
| 4 | School Girls Varsity Volleyball team on winning the Class 1A | ||||||
| 5 | State championship; and
| ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, Mt. Pulaski could not recover from a rough start | ||||||
| 7 | to the match and Dakota needed only 2 games to beat the Mt. | ||||||
| 8 | Pulaski Toppers, 25-16, 25-20 and capture the Class 1A State | ||||||
| 9 | title; and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, After a Game 1 victory, the Indians (41-1) had to | ||||||
| 11 | battle a little more in Game 2; they held a 7 point lead at | ||||||
| 12 | 22-15 before the Toppers scored 4 straight to pull within | ||||||
| 13 | 22-19; the Indians scored 3 of the last 4 points, the final | ||||||
| 14 | coming on a kill from senior Jennifer Lane on a quick set from | ||||||
| 15 | fellow senior Aleesha Cleaver to seal the victory and give the | ||||||
| 16 | Indians their first State title; and
| ||||||
| 17 | WHEREAS, The Varsity Coach is Shannon Williams; and the | ||||||
| 18 | Varsity Assistant Coach is Tyler Benning; and
| ||||||
| 19 | WHEREAS, The members of the Dakota Volleyball team are: | ||||||
