HOUSE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
Representatives are pleased to congratulate Dennis Stefanowicz
on the occasion of his retirement as a Trustee of the Village
of Norridge; and
WHEREAS, Dennis Stefanowicz was elected as a Trustee in
April 2005; he was the Chairman of the Water, Streets, and
Alleys Committee and has dedicated his professional career to
public service and his personal life to the community in which
he lives; and
WHEREAS, Dennis Stefanowicz has been a member of the
Norwood Park Fire Department for 36 years, serving as Chief for
the last 8; he also has 14 years of experience with the Village
of Norridge, serving most recently in 2000 and 2001 as a
Trustee on an interim basis; he served as a Building
Commissioner from 1988 to 1996, and as a member of the
Electrical Commission, the Zoning Board of Appeals, and the
Northwest Building and Code Officials; for 16 years, he served
on the District 80 School Board, including 13 years as
President; and
WHEREAS, Dennis Stefanowicz currently serves on the 911
Emergency Board; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
we congratulate Dennis Stefanowicz on his retirement as a
Trustee of the Village of Norridge; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to Dennis Stefanowicz as an expression of our esteem
and respect.
