| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives wish to recognize the induction of Glenda | ||||||
| 4 | Zanders into the Illinois Outdoor Hall of Fame; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Glenda Zanders trapped, fished, hunted, and | ||||||
| 6 | participated in shooting sports throughout her childhood; she | ||||||
| 7 | fished commercially on the Kaskaskia River with her father, | ||||||
| 8 | Glenn; her upbringing instilled in her a love for the outdoors; | ||||||
| 9 | and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, as the Chief Procurement Officer and co-owner of | ||||||
| 11 | Zanders Sporting Goods, Inc., she has supported the Illinois | ||||||
| 12 | Department of Natural Resources Wingshooting Clinic Program, a | ||||||
| 13 | program developed to provide instruction and improve the | ||||||
| 14 | shooting skills of beginning and experienced hunters, and the | ||||||
| 15 | Illinois Sportsmen Caucus, the largest bi-partisan legislative | ||||||
| 16 | caucus in the State of Illinois; and
| ||||||
| 17 | WHEREAS, Glenda Zanders has also supported youth | ||||||
| 18 | involvement in outdoor sports through organizations such as | ||||||
| 19 | Ducks Unlimited, Boy Scouts of America, and the National Wild | ||||||
| 20 | Turkey Federation, as well as they Illinois Conservation | ||||||
| 21 | Foundation; and

| 1 | WHEREAS, Glenda Zanders has demonstrated that she has made | ||||||
| 2 | significant contributions to increasing the number of people | ||||||
| 3 | involved with outdoor sports and is a deserving inductee of the | ||||||
| 4 | Illinois Outdoor Hall of Fame; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 5 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
| 6 | HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | ||||||
| 7 | recognize the induction of Glenda Zanders into the Illinois | ||||||
| 8 | Outdoor Hall of Fame; and be it further
| ||||||
| 9 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 10 | presented to Glenda Zanders.
