HOUSE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Krisnette
Kimberly Harlan, who passed away on June 17, 2015; and
WHEREAS, Krisnette Harlan was born on May 30, 1962; her
parents were Bill and Gwen Harlan; and
WHEREAS, Krisnette Harlan attended elementary school on
the West Side of Chicago and graduated from Lane Technical
College Preparatory High School in Chicago; she later attended
Wright City College before transferring to South Suburban
College in South Holland, where she majored in early child
care; she subsequently received several certificates in
various disciplines within early child care; and
WHEREAS, Krisnette Harlan was a member of the Reserve
Officer Training Corps (ROTC), where she achieved the rank of
Master Sergeant; and
WHEREAS, Krisnette Harlan was a believer in God; she
practiced her religion at the Valley Kingdom Ministries Church
in South Holland, under the pastorate of Bishop H. Daniel
Wilson; and

WHEREAS, Krisnette Harlan enjoyed cooking; her specialty
was spaghetti and macaroni and cheese; and
WHEREAS, Krisnette Harlan is survived by her parents; a
daughter, Angela; a brother, Chris; 4 nephews, Christopher,
Malcolm, Jeremiah, and David; and a niece, Asia; therefore, be
it
RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of
Krisnette Kimberly Harlan; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to the family of Krisnette Harlan as an expression of
our sympathy.
