2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
3 | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Patricia | ||||||
4 | "Pat" "Patsy" Andreasen of Plainfield, who passed away on | ||||||
5 | November 8, 2023; and
| ||||||
6 | WHEREAS, Patricia Andreasen was born to Vinton and Jennie | ||||||
7 | Flanagan in Chicago on October 2, 1932; she married Earl W. | ||||||
8 | Andreasen Sr. in 1955, and they settled in Plainfield and | ||||||
9 | became very active members of the community; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, After graduating high school, Pat Andreasen | ||||||
11 | enjoyed a brief career as a flight attendant for United | ||||||
12 | Airlines; in Plainfield, she was a co-owner of Earl's Music, | ||||||
13 | The Dance Factory, Hall's Texaco, and Andreasen Travel; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, Pat Andreasen was a longtime member of the | ||||||
15 | American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, the Plainfield Area Chamber | ||||||
16 | of Commerce, and MainStreet Plainfield; she volunteered | ||||||
17 | selflessly for numerous organizations, including the St. | ||||||
18 | Joseph Hospital Women's Auxiliary; she loved attending | ||||||
19 | Plainfield village board meetings, and she was often referred | ||||||
20 | to as the matriarch of Plainfield; and

21 | WHEREAS, Pat Andreasen was honored as the Grand Marshal of |

1 | the Plainfield Homecoming Parade in 2007; and
| ||||||
2 | WHEREAS, Pat Andreasen was known for her pool and parade | ||||||
3 | parties and her love of Maui; above all, she lived each day for | ||||||
4 | her family and loved each member in her own unique way; her | ||||||
5 | life was one of dedication to her family, her friends, and her | ||||||
6 | community; and
| ||||||
7 | WHEREAS, Pat Andreasen was preceded in death by her | ||||||
8 | husband; her parents; and her siblings, James Flanagan, | ||||||
9 | Maureen Sheppard, and Timothy Flanagan; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Pat Andreasen is survived by her children, Earl | ||||||
11 | (Debbie) Andreasen and Ingrid (Christopher) Price; her | ||||||
12 | grandchildren, Brandon (Christina) Andreasen, Ryan (Danah | ||||||
13 | Moorhouse) Andreasen, Kaitlin (Alex) Andreasen, Chelsea | ||||||
14 | (Andrew) Calhoon, and Jake (Matt Flanagan) Price; her | ||||||
15 | great-grandchildren, Madison Andreasen, Jackson Anderson, Finn | ||||||
16 | Johnson-Andreasen, Jack Calhoon, Makenzie Moorhouse, and Lily | ||||||
17 | Moorhouse; her numerous nieces and nephews, especially Michael | ||||||
18 | (Janette) Sheppard, Heather (Adam) Gear, James Flanagan, | ||||||
19 | Samantha, Nicholas, Kyle, Joseph, Elizabeth, and Ethan; and | ||||||
20 | her great friends, including Barb Barrows, Sally Conklin, and | ||||||
21 | the "Pizza Gang"; therefore, be it
