HOUSE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
Representatives are pleased to honor Joseph A. Straka as he
retires from the position of Executive Director of PACT, Inc.;
and
WHEREAS, Joseph Straka has served as Executive Director of
PACT, Inc. of Lisle since May 5, 1990; he will officially step
down on June 30, 2013; and
WHEREAS, Joseph Straka was a member of the Lisle Chamber of
Commerce from 2010 to 2013; and
WHEREAS, Joseph Straka has worked with persons with
disabilities since 1970; he has worked extensively with the
Illinois Department of Human Services, DuPage County, and
numerous community groups, such as the Arc of Illinois and the
Illinois Association of Independent Service Coordination
Agencies on behalf of persons with disabilities to help improve
services for people with disabilities and their families; and
WHEREAS, Joseph Straka will be honored at a retirement
reception on June 24, 2013, at the Lisle Hilton; therefore, be

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
we congratulate Joseph A. Straka on his retirement from PACT,
Inc., thank him for his dedicated work on behalf of people with
disabilities and their families in DuPage County, and wish him
well in all his future endeavors; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to Joseph Straka as an expression of our esteem and
respect.
