| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives are pleased to congratulate Frank Panno on his | ||||||
| 4 | 50th anniversary as Alderman for the City of Pontiac; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, He served in the United States Air Force from 1951 | ||||||
| 6 | to 1953; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, On May 3, 1961, Frank Panno first took his seat on | ||||||
| 8 | the Pontiac City Council; he was re-elected April 5, 2011 as a | ||||||
| 9 | city alderman; and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, He was living on the north side of Pontiac in 1961 | ||||||
| 11 | and kept bugging the gentleman then on the council about what | ||||||
| 12 | the city was going to do about the water problem; the man | ||||||
| 13 | suggested that he run for a vacant seat on the council; and
| ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, In 50 years of service, he has seen a lot of | ||||||
| 15 | changes to the city, including the building of the new sewer | ||||||
| 16 | plant; and
| ||||||
| 17 | WHEREAS, He credits then Senator Bill Harris and | ||||||
| 18 | Representative Tom Ewing for helping with the sewer plant; and
| ||||||
| 19 | WHEREAS, He was presented with a plant that marked his 50 | ||||||

| 1 | years at a recent City Council meeting; and
| ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, He is the proud father of 8 children; and the | ||||||
| 3 | loving grandfather of 12 grandchildren; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 4 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
| 5 | NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
| 6 | we congratulate Frank Panno on his anniversary and thank him | ||||||
| 7 | for his years of service to the people of Pontiac; and be it | ||||||
| 8 | further
| ||||||
| 9 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 10 | presented to Frank Panno as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
