| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Mary | ||||||
| 4 | "Mike" Rotter of La Grange, who passed away on May 8, 2017; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Mary Rotter was born in Decatur; she earned her | ||||||
| 6 | bachelor's degree in education at Barat College in 1961; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, Mary Rotter had a lifelong love of the arts and | ||||||
| 8 | regularly attended the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the Chicago | ||||||
| 9 | Lyric Opera, and the Theatre of Western Springs; and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, Mary Rotter enjoyed playing the piano and riding | ||||||
| 11 | horses; she was active in the La Leche League for many years; | ||||||
| 12 | and
| ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, Mary Rotter was preceded in death by her sister, | ||||||
| 14 | Mary Elizabeth "Sissy" Downing; and
| ||||||
| 15 | WHEREAS, Mary Rotter is survived by her husband, George; | ||||||
| 16 | her children, George (Cynthia), Carl (Wendy), Catherine | ||||||
| 17 | (Michael) deBeer, Ann, Sarah (Todd) Hanssen, and Susan; 14 | ||||||
| 18 | grandchildren; and her brother, Gerry Sheehan; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 19 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||

| 1 | HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | ||||||
| 2 | mourn the passing of Mary "Mike" Rotter, and extend our sincere | ||||||
| 3 | condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved | ||||||
| 4 | her; and be it further
| ||||||
| 5 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 6 | presented to the family of Mary Rotter as an expression of our | ||||||
| 7 | deepest sympathy.
