| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives wish to congratulate the Meridian High School | ||||||
| 4 | boys basketball team, the Bobcats, on a successful 2014-2015 | ||||||
| 5 | season; and
| ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, The Bobcats finished as the Class 1A State | ||||||
| 7 | runner-up after falling to Brimfield High School in a close | ||||||
| 8 | game 56 to 52; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, The Bobcats fell behind by 12 points during the | ||||||
| 10 | championship game and nearly pulled out a comeback victory; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, The Bobcats compiled a season record of 27 wins | ||||||
| 12 | and 8 losses to reach the championship game; and
| ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, The Bobcats are coached by Erik Griffin; the | ||||||
| 14 | 2014-2015 season was his first year back as a high school boys | ||||||
| 15 | basketball head coach since the 1991-1992 season at his alma | ||||||
| 16 | mater, Carrier Mills-Stonefort High School; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 17 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
| 18 | NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | ||||||
| 19 | congratulate the Meridian High School boys basketball team, the | ||||||
| 20 | Bobcats, on a successful 2014-2015 season and wish them many | ||||||

| 1 | more successful years; and be it further

| 2 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
