2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
3 | Representatives wish to congratulate Sheryl Lynn Turpin on her | ||||||
4 | retirement as the administrative coordinator of the Community | ||||||
5 | Behavioral Healthcare Association of Illinois (CBHA) after 22 | ||||||
6 | years of dedicated service; and
| ||||||
7 | WHEREAS, Sheryl Lynn Turpin dedicated her professional | ||||||
8 | life to the field of administrative work for over 40 years and | ||||||
9 | served in several administrative support capacities during her | ||||||
10 | tenure at CBHA; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, a | ||||||
12 | typical employee stays in a job just over four years in the | ||||||
13 | current era; Sheryl Lynn Turpin, like many others, is now an | ||||||
14 | anomaly and part of a bygone era where long-time commitment to | ||||||
15 | one job is almost nonexistent; and

16 | WHEREAS, Sheryl Lynn Turpin has been an integral part of | ||||||
17 | the success of CBHA, which is the largest association of | ||||||
18 | mental health, substance abuse, and youth services | ||||||
19 | organizations in Illinois and is dedicated to representing the | ||||||
20 | interests of its members in order to ensure access and | ||||||
21 | availability to a comprehensive system of accountable, quality | ||||||
22 | behavioral healthcare services for the people of Illinois; and

1 | WHEREAS, Sheryl Lynn Turpin has performed her duties with | ||||||
2 | class, dignity, respect for others, and professionalism; she | ||||||
3 | has earned the admiration and respect of the Illinois | ||||||
4 | legislative staff, association members and staff, and the | ||||||
5 | general public; she maintained high standards through | ||||||
6 | challenging times and remained open and flexible in meeting | ||||||
7 | the needs of her job; and

8 | WHEREAS, Sheryl Lynn Turpin has provided exceptional | ||||||
9 | support to the CBHA staff, members, and the general public | ||||||
10 | without fanfare or public recognition; she was a conscientious | ||||||
11 | employee who worked to ensure that member services and | ||||||
12 | services to the public were provided in a timely and | ||||||
13 | professional manner and that association funds were spent | ||||||
14 | responsibly; and

15 | WHEREAS, After retirement from CBHA, Sheryl Lynn Turpin | ||||||
16 | looks forward to spending time with family, friends, and her | ||||||
17 | pets and traveling; therefore, be it

18 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
19 | HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
20 | we congratulate Sheryl Lynn Turpin on the occasion of her | ||||||
21 | retirement as administrative coordinator for the Community | ||||||
22 | Behavioral Healthcare Association of Illinois, thank her for |

2 | and wish her many happy and healthy retirement years; and be it | ||||||
