| 1 | HOUSE RESOLUTION
| ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, On the final day of the 2012 Spring Session, the | ||||||
| 3 | Illinois House of Representatives of the 97th
General Assembly | ||||||
| 4 | adopted House Resolution 1032, which created the Illinois Task | ||||||
| 5 | Force on Gang Violence to study and analyze the recent increase | ||||||
| 6 | in street gang violence in Illinois; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, House Resolution 1032 further directed that the | ||||||
| 8 | findings of the Task Force be reported to the
General Assembly | ||||||
| 9 | by January 1, 2013; this due date for the report is no longer | ||||||
| 10 | workable given the scope
of the Task Force's responsibilities; | ||||||
| 11 | therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 12 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
| 13 | NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
| 14 | the Illinois Task Force on Gang Violence shall hold public | ||||||
| 15 | hearings and shall issue a report of its findings and | ||||||
| 16 | recommendations to the General Assembly on or before October | ||||||
| 17 | 15, 2013; and be it further
| ||||||
| 18 | RESOLVED, That the Task Force is dissolved following the | ||||||
| 19 | filing of its report; and be it further
| ||||||
| 20 | RESOLVED, That, with this reporting extension, the Task | ||||||
| 21 | Force shall operate pursuant to House
Resolution 1032 of the | ||||||
