| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Jeffrey | ||||||
| 4 | "Jeff" Hofmann of Springfield, who passed away on April 17, | ||||||
| 5 | 2013; and
| ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, Jeff Hofmann was born on June 24, 1952, in Saint | ||||||
| 7 | Louis, Missouri, to Frank and Maureen Hofmann; he married Mary | ||||||
| 8 | Supranowich on June 9, 1978, in Saint Louis; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, Jeff Hofmann earned his bachelor's degree in | ||||||
| 10 | communications from the University of Missouri in Saint Louis | ||||||
| 11 | and began his broadcasting career in Cape Girardeau, Missouri; | ||||||
| 12 | he worked in the Belleville area before moving to Springfield | ||||||
| 13 | in 1981 and worked for 1450 WCVS until 1990; he worked for | ||||||
| 14 | United Cerebral Palsy Land of Lincoln for a number of years | ||||||
| 15 | before returning to Sports Radio 1450, and had been with them | ||||||
| 16 | since 1998; and
| ||||||
| 17 | WHEREAS, Jeff Hofmann served as news director and was a | ||||||
| 18 | part of the "AM Springfield" program at Sport Radio 1450; and
| ||||||
| 19 | WHEREAS, Jeff Hofmann was preceded in death by his father; | ||||||
| 20 | and

| 1 | WHEREAS, Jeff Hofmann is survived by his wife, Mary; his | ||||||
| 2 | daughter, Kate Hofmann; his mother, Maureen Hofmann; his | ||||||
| 3 | siblings, Karen (Frank) Judge, Kathy (Frank) Burson, Jim | ||||||
| 4 | Hofmann, and Jack (Mary) Hofmann; his brothers-in-law, Ken | ||||||
| 5 | Supranowich and Tim (Donna) Supranowich; his sisters-in-law, | ||||||
| 6 | Barb Shreckengost and Ann (Bob) Canavan; and numerous nephews | ||||||
| 7 | and cousins; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 8 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
| 9 | NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
| 10 | we mourn the passing of Jeff Hofmann, and extend our sincere | ||||||
| 11 | condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved | ||||||
| 12 | him; and be it further
