| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives hold in high esteem those organizations that | ||||||
| 4 | are dedicated to improving the lives of their members through | ||||||
| 5 | an emphasis on education and service; and
| ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, District 8 Toastmasters was founded by | ||||||
| 7 | Toastmasters International during 1940 and 1941; since that | ||||||
| 8 | time, the local organization has enabled thousands of Illinois | ||||||
| 9 | citizens from all walks of life to improve their communication | ||||||
| 10 | and leadership skills; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, District 8 Toastmasters will celebrate "District | ||||||
| 12 | 8 Toastmasters Week" to coincide with the organization's | ||||||
| 13 | semi-annual conference from April 24 to April 30, 2011; and
| ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, District 8 Toastmasters has proven throughout the | ||||||
| 15 | years to be an exemplary component of Toastmasters | ||||||
| 16 | International, a worldwide organization dedicated to the | ||||||
| 17 | development of communication and leadership skills; and
| ||||||
| 18 | WHEREAS, It is fitting and proper that the members of this | ||||||
| 19 | body should pause in its diverse legislative duties in order to | ||||||
| 20 | recognize such outstanding Illinois organizations as District | ||||||
| 21 | 8 Toastmasters at momentous times in its history; therefore, be | ||||||

| 2 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
| 3 | NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||

| 5 | accomplishments of District 8 Toastmasters and express our most | ||||||
| 6 | heartfelt best wishes for a highly successful "District 8 | ||||||
